Trigun is probably one my most favorite anime's ever!!! It has a great storyline, lovable characters, also ones you can hate with a passion (KNIVES) and epic fight scenes! And also to top it off Meryl was my first anime crush ever...SHES MINE....so do any of you guys like Trigun?

Yes I am a huge Trigun fan. However, I am also extremely biased in my views on the anime<manga. Gah. That anime butchered the manga. They tried to condense an 18 volume series into the last 10 episodes. It makes me rage so much. Especially because there were 2 volumes devoted to my favorite character. Leonoff the Puppet Master. In the anime, he not only barely gets screen time, but when he does he is overshadowed and underdeveloped. We might bump heads. Trigun Rocks. Here is a pic of my friends and I at a convention. That is me cosplaying Leonoff with my crappy paper mache mannequin. Attachments:

You make a valid point...when the manga and anime are compared to one another the manga is better especially given the fact that the gung ho guns were given more depth and personality...But the Anime was great in its own way too...They left a'lot out from the manga but it still managed to capture the very theme of what Yasuhiro Nightow's master piece of a manga delivered...love and peace!...and that is some cool cosplay

All of that faffing about that wasn't in the manga that ended up not being filler. That was some surprisingly solid and fun stuff. However I am still bitter about the last half trying to be the whole manga series so I have a hard time looking past that. Also, out of curiosity, what do you think of the theme song? Posted here for convenient reference.

I read the first volume of the manga and I really liked it. Maybe I'll try to read it online but I'm currently reading Zatch Bell but I'll keep this in mind.

I think you might like that too. Keep in mind with Ueki though that while it starts out solid, it reaaaaally picks up as you watch it, so if you don't like it just give it another chance and check out a few more episodes.
