I think they could've teamed up with Bandai to make Gotcha Force collectible gashapon figurines. Common figurines would be colored like the Borgs with their standard and alternate coloring. Rare-colored figurines would be colored like the rare-colored Borgs in the game.

Although with 1236 different borgs, it would be a collector's nightmare.

To try and get every Borg. Plus, you made a mistake on how many types of Borgs there are. There are 200 types of Gotcha Borgs, unless you're counting the rare-colored Borgs!
There could have also been contests to win exclusive prizes and such. Machine Borg Corps. Founding Fathers Set (Proto Atlas, Proto Mars, Proto Blue, and Proto Red) Gold Set Silver Set Clear Set Black Set Cyber Machines Set (Cyber Mars, Cyber Atlas, Machine Red, Machine Blue, and the four Cyber Machines) Partner Borg Set G Machines Set (G Red, Neo/Shin G Red, and G Black) Hero Borg Unit Set Machine/Cyber Death Dragon Set Life-Size Set (with life-sized versions of the figures) Machine Borg Air Force Set Elite Knights Set (consisting of the most powerful Knight Borgs in the game)
What other sets can you come up with?

How about containers to store your figures made to look like the Gotcha Box

wow! look at that G Black figure! is it life-sized? No, it looks like it is about 4-6 inches tall. Which would be life sized, beings as G Black is actually that size in the game.

A few months ago one of the regulars on the Gotcha Force Facebook group shared that he found and bought one of these legendary GF toys at a random con in the States. Just the fact that one would not only end up in the States at one of the miscellaneous anime cons, but that a fan of the game would be lucky enough to see it and recognize what it was is pretty cool. Kind of crazy seeing that the convention vendor bought it from a Book-Off for only 700 yen.

I don't think I've ever seen that Eagle Robot one before. That's incredibly cool (and it actually transforms too!)

Actually one more I'd forgot. Was digging through an old Japanese blog and the guy had a post saying how thrilled he was to have found a Titan Robot figure, saying finding it reminded him how much he loved this game and so on. He put up a kind of crappy photo, but it's unmistakably Titan Robot:
