Rgh this song.
Well, I'll leave this here, too. WarioWare D.I.Y. has tons of great songs...

Claxus...why would you post such an outrageously overrated song? That's like the gangnam style of games.

*Youtubes Gusty Garden* *Finds at max 600k views on just one of the results for a live performance of the song*
Overrated, Gundam Style of games, what are you talking about? It's not even the most popular song from the game. I remember back then, I could barely even find the song on Youtube.
Actually, Pokemon is probably the closest thing to the Gundam Style of gaming as a whole. It's ridiculously, outrageously, popular. Red is probably the lead singer.

Look at most top 10 lists, it's number 1. True, it's not quite that popular, but to most it's the best song in SMG. I personally find it average. And, pokemon music? Popular? Most pokemon music is garbage. There are gems, but (my opinion) it's not amazing.

Still lost. Visited a few forums and articles, and only one had Gusty Garden as the top choice, one had it on fourth, and it wasn't listed in the other posts or lists I checked. Not sure why you're so bent on shoving the song into viral-status, it may be popular, but 'the' Mario Galaxy song is a very diverse opinion because it's such a great soundtrack throughout.
And yes, believe it or not, Pokemon has its share of overrated songs, some of which made it into Brawl due to popularity. But I meant Pokemon as a whole, every new set of Pokemon games is always listed as the top game everywhere. Pokemon X announced, suddenly top game and board on GFaqs, both of them.

Chocolate... Chip... Cookies!
One of my favorite Japanese bands... I don't even remember how I came across them... But I really like their style.
And I really, really love this song. 'Memories of Tomorrow.'
And their only other song on Youtube, I actually don't like it as much as many of their other songs though. Fly a Skull:

I love pokemon, but it's not the best. Although that one song I posted, along with BW's elite 4 theme and N's departure, are my favorite pokemon VGMs of all time. I love that remix more than the original. And gusty garden's theme has about 100 remixes in SMG2. It's absurd, but it's not that popular I guess. If I made a SMG/SMG2 top 5, it'd look like this: 10. Cosmic Cove Galaxy - SMG2 9. World 6 Map - SMG2 8. Good Egg Galaxy - SMG 7. World S Map - SMG2 6. Clockworks Galaxy - SMG2 5. Purple Coins - SMG/SMG2 4. Final Bowser - SMG2 3. World 1 Map v2 - SMG2 2. Melty Molten Galaxy - SMG2 1. Buoy Base Galaxy (underwater) - SMG1 5 and 7 are the only gusty garden versions I like. One thing I hate about SMG2; it's a cop out cash hogging sequel. Still fun, but cash hogging. Just like CoD.

I never played Super Mario Galaxy 2... So I guess I missed all of those remixes. It's not surprising, though, as Mario games tend to have tons of remixes of previous games. Still, I'm not sure if there's a specific overrated song because of the quality of the songs overall. I agree with you on Pokemon though, the music is nice, but there's really only a few exceptional songs. I like a lot of the older game songs, but I'm not sure if that's just nostalgia... Like Route 1 from R/B. Nostalgia or not, it's so dang catchy. One of the few songs that caught my attention is the world tournament finals song from B/W2, which I posted before. It really sounds like it's a song straight out of Smash Bros. or Kirby...

^That'a just nostalgia. Like me with Ricco Harbor (I'm a younger gamer, SMS was my first video game.) or RSE's littleroot town. (pallet town too from LgFr) World tournament was decent, but it was just that to me, decent. I can see why you like it though.

uhh, hey. Actually, I lied about Abandoned Ship being my favorite pokemon VGM. No idea how I forgot (I heard it only ONCE until today when I spammed E4 on black 2) this, but THIS theme is my favorite; and the only one I say really compares to a lot of my other favorite themes. (well, N's farewell too I guess.)
In my opinion, this is about as epic Pokemon has ever gotten. Fighting the champion, who's in this crazy outfit, on a starry background, with THAT playing. I will say, all the champion battle themes are pretty good; Cynthia's actually being my least favorite. Goes in this order: Iris Red/Lance Steven/Wallace trash that replaces Steven Alder Gary Cynthia

What the... That song gives me anime style vision-surges. I dunno, the part at 1:12 is so familiar, and my mind goes crazy trying to remember what other song it reminds me of... Like, part of a Tales of ___ song ( ), or like an anime opening song or something... Or like some sort of moe dance song. Or maybe it just has a similar 'triumphant' mood to something like Super Robot Wars "Gong..." Anyway, I'm gonna have to agree. I actually never made it to the end of BW2 due to having a crappy unbalanced team and being underleveled for the E4, and not wanting to grind or change Pokemon. But that song makes me wish I had played all the way. It's so spacy and light... But cool. Like, if Rainbow Road was the final boss. I dunno, I'm saying a lot of weird stuff, so I'm gonna stop talking. But that's an awesome song. At 1:12 it has one of those makes-me-happy feelings, due to the lightheartedness. Like at around 1:14 in the last Pokemon song I posted, where the melody also breaks into this lighthearted style.

^I can lend you a pokemon to do it. Also, watch the battle to get a better feel for the song too.

Well, it's far too late... To go back to that game.
But, Rainbow Road really is the final boss after all... Sort of.

Personally, I don't like it too much. At least not as a final boss theme. Far too upbeat and not nearly so climactic. Then again I haven't actually played the game so what do I know.

Because, honestly... I've quit and shut away that game to the point of no return. It's not really my type of game to begin with. I can deal with turn-based, but it's based too much on luck and guessing for me. I've moved on to other stuff like Kid Icarus and other games.

Well, no, that's only part of it. Even a non-critical-centric Pokemon will randomly hit criticals from time to time, which are really powerful yet uncontrollable. Same with moves that boost evasion and stuff. You raise your chances to not get hit and the like, but it's still a toss of the dice. Battles start blindly, unless you agree beforehand to name your first Pokemon, and then you have to guess what moves your opponent will use, or what moves they even have, or if they'll switch out Pokemon... You also can't be sure of how their Pokemon are built, such as who will move first, if they're a glass cannon, a special or physical defense tank, etc... There's really lots of luck and guessing.

Prediction is a part of any Turn based RPG. Crits aren't too common really, about 7%. Unless you're a bada-- Absol or Honchcrow with Super Luck, a Scope Lens, and something like night slash.
