^Was talking about the GCN version...  I love your story, I really do, but I just couldnt stand CRA. People dont shut up about CRA and just brush the other version off. It seemed superior. |

THe only thing I liked about that one was the ability to change ur colors. I didnt really like anything else. It was awesome when I first played it, but the ds one is more competitive, it seems. That is my OPINION of it. The only thing I dont really care for in arena is that they are pretty much all kids. I think this is going good. |

Hey, no need to argue about Custom Robo, they were both really good in their own ways. I loved the GCN version, though to be honest I can't remember much, I played it way too long ago. I liked the story, Rahu or whatever it was called was pretty boss. A 3 vs 1 final boss was also awesome. It had really good music and graphics, especially for its time.
Mostly wanna talk about CRA, though. It was a very lighthearted story in comparison, and well, being honest, it was pretty predictable and kiddy, though I still liked it. I think the characters had better design, too, not counting the silent hero that walks like a mad scientist versus the cooler hero from the GCN CR.
What made CRA amazing was mainly two things: Customization and online play. All the weapons except the illegal ones were created with balance in mind, and I seriously miss the days back when the online community was thriving... It had good netcode and you would see tons of variety online because nothing was clearly better.
Maybe this one is kinda personal, but the customization was pretty crazy. The only bad thing is lack of being able to change colors, and of course weapon custom is a given in CR, but I mean the Dioramas thing. I spent many hours just posing my robots in different scenes, because they were basically like action figures... And I think you guys here know how much I like robot action figures.
Well, I don't wanna talk too much more, but to boil it down:
GCN CR:
- Better graphics
- Robot colors
- 4 player battles
- Better story
- More bots
CRA:
- Online play
- Extra customization
- Balanced gameplay

Yeah, might as well, even though you can still use it to play against friends.
Actually, there's a fan-forum for it where people still play sometimes, and they say you can occasionally find random people online still.
So... I won't be getting rid of that pro.

One random online after four years, taking into account how obsolete the game and the system have become does count for something. And if you've been reading (I assume you have, but just want to be ignorant), there's still a community that plays it, and they find random people online too on occasion.
And by the way, next person to post here should make it in a new Custom Robo topic, or bring back an old one in the video games section if there is one. This is Hydra's topic about his writing...
