A long time ago, there was a thread asking if Commanders could have the rare versions of normal borgs. I just fought Orochi and she had a silver chrono samurai. I didn't get a crystal, I just wanted to confirm this.

Was she on your teaam? If yes then yeah they can, but if no then it was just like a normal battle where you find borgs .

I have never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever witnessed a partner with anything other than normal Borgs.
I honestly believe it's a glitch occurring if they do use alternate/rare versions.

I don't think a commander can have rare borgs if they're on your team. However, if you fight against them, they can have rare borgs.
