That is pretty lame, but when you get too deep into any game there will always be people who break it. I mean, just look at Magic the Gathering. There is a deck that can win before the game even starts. Point of the story is, don't let it get to you.

My best deck is actually my Toon World deck, considering Toon characters can make direct attacks when there are no Toon monsters on the opponents side(which is almost always, considering few people have the patience to get ahold of the good toon monsters. Like blue eyes toon dragon. 3000 ark usable towards a direct atk? That's just broken.

deck thinning(think lightsworn but on the oponent Ooo. Mill decks are tricky in Yugioh. Especially since they like to run cards like yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/The_Bistro_Butcheryugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Chainsaw_Insectand a lot of the cards don't really do that much. Cards like yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Assault_on_GHQyugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Warm_Wormyugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Destiny_Hero_-_Defenderyugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Needle_Worm (although 3 of these will be enough to make anyone's deck wince) And especially since Cyber Jar is banned. Some nice combo's that aren't exactly Mill, but might work well are yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Forced_Requisition+ yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Card_Destruction+ yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Serial_SpellSo your opponent has to discard their hand and redraw, what, 3 times? Problem is, you have to discard and redraw twice yourself. Although if you are going to be discarding a lot yourself then I would recommend yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Night_Assailantyugioh.wikia.com/wiki/The_Shallow_GraveThey will be invaluable to your deck to get back all of those nice and tasty flip effect monsters I suppose that if you really beefed up their hand size thanks to Bistro Butcher and Chainsaw Insect this could be a really nice combo. Especially if you start the combo off with yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Giant_TrunadeThat way you hit their back row too. Oh, and you could throw in some yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Penguin_Soldieryugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Dark_Cat_with_White_Tailyugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Golem_Sentryyugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Guardian_SphinxThat way you bounce their monsters back and force them to discard those too. And if they have any sincro monsters they are returned to their extra deck. I don't think there is a monster in the game that is immune to being bounced back to the hand. And hey, if you are going to be running a lot of bounce in your mill deck you might want to look into yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Spring_of_RebirthAnyway, back to mill. This card yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Inferno_Tempesthas a lot of promise, but trust me, it is never going to activate. Keep it out of your deck. This card yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/NecrofaceSounds nice, it acts like Needle Worm and all, but it mills you too and it has a pretty wonky activation trigger. I would reccommend not using it. Even though it would work nicely with Inferno Tempest. Trust me, pretty much every deck will not be hitting you that hard, and those that do will kill you before you can get that card off. Oh, and I almost forgot about these. Your mill deck is going to love these. yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Goblin_Zombieyugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Robbin%27_Zombieyugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Gravekeeper%27s_ServantThese cards yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Vampire_Ladyyugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Vampire_LordAre nice, but I would hesitate in using them since your opponent controls what goes to the graveyard. They could use that to their advantage quite easily. You are going to be running a lot of small monsters, like yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Don_Zaloogso maybe look into yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Messenger_of_PeaceCombo's like yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Twin_Swords_of_Flashing_Light_-_Tryce+ yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Secret_Pass_to_the_TreasuresWill help you attack directly and trigger effects, but be careful since you monsters will be super small. Combo's like this would love a Messenger of Peace to help them out. However, throwing a card like yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Magic_Hole_Golemin the mix will make your deck a lot stronger. That is all I can think of. Let me check and see if the wiki has any pages on mill decks. ... They cover a lot of the stuff that I just mentioned, but they also bring up Another strategy is to have 3 Soul-Absorbing Bone Towers in play (most likely summoned with Inferno Reckless Summon), then suicide a Pyramid Turtle to bring out another Pyramid Turtle (This combo will mill out 6 cards at a time), then repeat the step until you're at your last one, which you should summon a monster that can revive one of the Turtles like Zombie Master, and then activate The Transmigration Prophecy or Pot of Avarice to return the other ones (at least 2) in the Graveyard back to your deck. Afterwards, you could use Zombie Master to bring back 1 of the Turtles and repeat, if this method is repeated it is possible to end the duel in one turn (One Turn Mill). It is optional to have a Spirit Barrier or a 4 countered Clock Tower Prison in place to protect your life points, and using Cold Wave(Has been changed to forbidden) will ensure a successful attack. and There's even a combo that might force your opponent to Mill their Deck every time they attack. Use Vampire's Curse in Defense Position, Soul-Absorbing Bone Tower and Card of Safe Return (optional). Every time your opponent destroys Vampire's Curse, Special Summon it in Defense Position, allowing you to draw a card and discard two cards in your opponent's Deck. That'll lock your opponent into a never ending Mill. (Mill Lockdown) A nice combo that the wiki mentions is yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Final_Attack_Orders+ yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Savage_Colosseum+ yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Gravekeeper%27s_ServantI hope that this helps. Sorry for the super excessive post. If use used everything that I brought up your deck would be about 70 cards ;D Hopefully you will find something that you like that works for your deck. If it doesn't help, here is a link to the mill deck page on the wiki that I pulled the last 3 combo's from. yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Mill_Deck

Damn, son, that's quite the research you've done. Think you could help on what would make a good Elemental Hero Deck? So far, I've tried three different attempts into making it so E-heros can fight without the need to fusion summon, find a way to make the Elemental and Destiny Heros work with eachother, and even try to find combos that would make even Elemental Hero Ice Edge a frikkin' BEAST.
I tried doing the research myself, despite my love for the game and talent for the game, I'm just not that good at understanding some things.

Example: E-hero Woodsman effect to search Polymerization + Ice Edge's Direct Attack effect ^That example is essentially the only combo I can think of that uses Polymerization in an alternative way. I know there are other combos out there, but that's the only one I've discovored so far. Edit: That's actually the kindest answer I've gotten. Ever. Every other guy I asked about this responded and acted like jerks.

Oh man. That is so true on so many levels. Granted, there ARE cards that would allow heros to fight without the need of fusion, buuut.... Yeah, they are definitely too focused on fusion. Also, to those who use programs and stuff in order to duel. www.duelingnetwork.com/

so while were on the note
whats the point in D heroes and their awkward to use effects

You raise a good question. When I was trying to make an Elementa/Destiny Hero hybrid deck, their effects had completely thrown me off.
To be honest, I don't even know WHAT I was thinking. The most useful I could get out of the D Heros was Defender, Dasher, and Dogma and their effects were to make an opponent draw one card (which seems worth it considering Defender's got 2700 DEF), mimics Necroshade, and cut the enemy's LP in half respectively.

their still awkward to use

D heroes, unlike a lot of monsters, their power lies in their abilities, and their field spell. I find them useless unless you have the full set.
