I've always associated the name "Ellis" to be a female one because the first time I heard this name it was, of course, a girl that had it but I've never, ever, ever seen another female with this name, instead I've witnessed countless males to have it instead. Still, I will always think it's a female name.
Something similar can be said about "Ashley". I think it sounds like a guy's name, and one of the main (male) characters in an RPG I bought a long time ago had it, so I always kinda associate it with males, but nope, instead you look around and you will find the vast majority with this name will be females.
Anyone else know of any androgynous names?

Some people call me Ell but I think that kinda sounds like a girl's name.Uh, the only one I can think of off the top of my head is Madison - it's considered by most to be "a girl's name" but actually, it's pretty clear in the name, Madi son, that it was intended for dudes. A film featured a (female) mermaid trying to integrate herself into human society, and she chose the name Madison because she saw a road sign that said "Madison road". Cue mothers who liked the film completely missing the point of the joke (that she's not going to fit in with that name, which was a boy's name) and naming their daughters Madison.

Madison as a forename sounds really feminine to me. Well it is now. You'd be hard pressed to find a Madison that wasn't female.

Tyler seems to be androgynous. I don't know any females named Francis, but that seems like it would be an androgynous name as well.
Do homophonic names count? If so, Aaron/Aron/Erin and Kellie/Kelley/Kelly go to both genders.
