Borg Catching Frustration

Have you ever tried to get a certain borg so much that when you finally get it, you get more then just one of it? Like for example, when I first got Gotcha Force I tried getting Gold Hero my whole entire 1st playthrough! Now, while trying to get Cyber Ninja I can't stop getting Gold Hero.

Lesson I learned (and you can learn from) is:

Be careful what you wish for, you might just get it... a little too much of it I should say.

I was once known as the gold hunter.
I spent literally almost a year trying to get a ICBM, but the correct data crystal kept eluding my grasp.

After many months and thousands of battles, the game suddenly threw a ICBM in my face.
After an additional couple of hundred battles, I became the proud owner of that very same, mythical being but the gold was never to be seen again.

Around that time, my Cube died on me and my Wii had serious issues so I departed from the battlefield, but I swore to return some day, for I will capture that gold cretin before my bones turn to dust!


Also in futile pursuit of a rare Sirius, I got one whole and encountered a Death Saucer and got one of its data crystal even.

Wow, what a sad story. Trying to get one thing, but instead got something better. (actually, now I don't see how that's sad now)

Beam Sattelite. XD I wanted to get it so badly, because it was the last remaining Fortress Borg that eluded my grasp. I kept trying to get it, but only got one or two Death Arc crystals.

Finally, when I got it, I wanted Death Arc. And after countless hours of playing, I must've gotten like 6 Beam Satellites or so. Rather annoying. -_-

Harsh, reminds me of Pokemon.
I was playing yellow once and wanted to get a Tauros and a Chansey for my team.
I figured that Chansey would be a pain to see (let alone catch) so I decided to settle for a Lickitung.
I went into the safari zone with the intention of getting said Tauros.
I ended up catching a Chansey before I even saw a Tauros.
I was checking online to see where it appeared the most (it turned out to have a whopping 3% spawn rate in the far corner of the zone) and I still was having a really hard time.
I decided that I would try and catch every Chansey I saw so I could see how many I got by the time I had a Tauros.
I ended up getting 13 Chansey before I caught it...

I had almost the same thing I really wanted sirius and I ended up with 8 death saucers, 3 antares and 3 alternate sirius crystals before getting sirius..... bad memories ;D

Hi erm Iv been going mentle for along time trying get all the fortress unis so far I have 2 death fortresses at level 10 and one similar to the death arm.

Im after this one fortress that has little space ships come out of it I have 1 crystal for it could someone give me any tips for getting the crystals like how many times I have to complete the game or which stages to replay ect

Antares is the one with the fighters it can launch. If you've beaten the game twice you should be able to select special mode after selecting story from the main menu. That will let you replay any stage you want as many times as you like. For getting fortress borgs, "cooperate with met to retake the stone river" is the best - it has Sirius, Antares and Death Saucer all in one place. So you can just play it over until you have all the crystals.
