Eh, I tried Katana Max for a while, didn't really like him. I found his melee really slow, i.e. he swings his arm back before swinging it forward. It could just be his stock Metal Slayer weapon that does that though.
The Jikuns are good melee bots but they're heavily overused. They have a built in G Crash melee so it leaves both hands free for shields or other weapons. That and if the game lags, it becomes really hard to hit them when they're G Crashing all over the place.

that's weird... i can't buy katana max... does anyone know why?
then jikuns it is. what's the best melee weapon?
and what is all this about status effects? which weapons can do that? like, it's kind of REALLY broken when you can stun your opponent.
oh, and when you're upgrading your robots, why does it say that some cartridges can't be used? i find that quite odd.

Did you actually buy it or just put it in the shopping basket?
Also, make sure you're buying the UC Katana Max and not the RT Katana Max. They always place the RT bots at the top so you have to scroll through them to get to the normal bots.
Jikun doesn't need a sword since his core attacks are just fine.
And there is no clear best melee weapon. Stronger ones will reduce wlk, fly, or tec and they'll have higher cost. It comes down to how you want your bot to play. Also keep in mind that all weapons have sizes and types.
The normal stunning effect comes from just being hit a lot. I think the pulse gun can also stun, though I've never noticed it. If you're talking about the bind effect, you'll have to pay rt for a Winberrl bot.
Some carts can only be used when the bot reaches a certain level. Carts also cost energy too so if it goes over the cost limit, it'll warn you before upgrading. The level requirement and cost is shown on the cart.

i just realized that Katana needed a triangle rank to purchase... what does that mean?
and i assume by bot level you mean account level? so what do you say for the actual robot's level, like crimrose level?
wait, so should jikun have a sword? i was wondering if i should get him a laser knife or something, that can shoot and slash.
and how in the world do you hit your opponent with a close-range? i think i might have seen some traces of auto-aiming, but i don't know how robots like Jikun Long do it, with their super fast and long dashes. they just dash, turn around, and dash again. isn't that really bad accuracy?
oh, and i got winberrl as a gift for leveling up. is the green vine move good?
do you know how to get a picture for your account? i see people with pictures next to their names, and i want one too.
also, is there a way to add a friend without having to be in the same room? i want to add you all, and invite you guys to a Gotcha Force clan, unless you guys already have a clan...
and i also see some people walking around with a red and black samurai sword and sheath. how do you get that? is it RT only?
by the way, GOT A WIRELESS MOUSE FOR THE LAPTOP YEAHHHH. don't have to just use the desktop computer anymore.

Can't remember the exact numbers, but the shape corresponds to certain ranks. So the first few ranks are circle, then the next few are triangle, then diamond etc.
Nope. I mean bot level. If you want to use a lvl 6 cartridge on a bot, you have to level that bot up to 6.
Equip whatever you want and see if it works with your playstyle. I usually use equip a bad gun to save on cost.
The accuracy isn't that bad. Just point and right click on a nearby bot. Bonus: It's annoying and hard to hit.
Winberrl's effectiveness depends on whether you have a lot of allies. If you don't have any allies to take advantage of bind, it doesn't really do anything. If you do have allies, it's the best thing ever.
The picture by their name is their clan picture. You have to be invited to a clan or make your own clan to have one.
As far as I know, you have to be in the same room/matching to befriend someone.
The samurai is Ouka, the same bot in my set. It was RT Garapon only until they stopped offering the Ouka Gara a few weeks ago. She's impossible to get now, but you can try her out in the scarlet moon mission.

hey have you guys gotten your free bots yet? i just got me a maril march trill, but i had a tough time choosing between her and mecha jetter. as of now there are three bots to choose from: maril march trill, mecha jetter (a gold one), and a katana max (also gold). keep in mind that katana max is the only one whose original form is actually purchaseable by UC, as the others are not. cosmicbreak.forumotion.com/t1361-cosmic-break-bot-giveawaysthis made me feel less bad about not participating in the beta test  hey njay that means that you have an ouka, don't you? exactly which bots do you still have from the beta testing? |

That link only has half of the sites on there. Here is the correct link for the giveaway. I got a Marill March as well. The samurai is Ouka, the same bot in my set. I meant my avvie/sig set. I actually don't have an Ouka. All data from beta testing is wiped, but beta testers get two zero sabers and two bloom mariahs along with some items like lvl 5 limit remove and 2x experience. |

Edit: Hrmm... got Maril March Trill... fell in love with the game again. It pales in comparison to being able to destroy every bot except Ivis with Boiledeck... but she's quite enjoyable.

So how long did you guys wait until you started the story quests (tutorial and training don't count)? I didn't start the first story mission until the second day of playing because for the first day I was too focused on the Union Wars, I love PvP.
By the way if any of you are interested in playing with me I will be playing on the 21st from about 11:00-3:30 Pacific time (-08:00 GMT).

I did Gigan busters a few times when I first started, then almost exclusively PvP. It wasn't until a few weeks ago that I tried some others.
Also, does anyone know why channel 1 is so underpopulated now? It used to be the most populated until people suddenly started going to channel 2.
