Here is where people can discuss the great game that is Team Fortress 2. It's on multiple platforms but i want to mainly discuss the PC version here.

Doggy, thanks for telling me what spawn camping is. I actually had no idea i do that sometimes. But i only do it when the team I'm on is getting their asses kicked. Whats the point in going out to certain death when i can stay safe? I've never been kicked yet though.

Also Doggy, i have yet to deflect an Arrow or the Jarrate.

Now i have a question. Whats the deal with this Bing stuff? Like next to my score theres this number that goes up and down. I've sometimes had to leave a server because it was too high. I assume its there so that crappy players (like myself at the time) don't mix with the mega experts.. But i have yet to know it's true meaning.

Nah, ping is your connection quality, it's basically the time in milliseconds it takes for a signal to get to the server and back. A ping of over 100 often means it'll be tough to play Sniper and Spy, which both require quick reactions, and a ping of over 200 makes most things unplayable. Some servers have ping restrictions to stop laggy players from exploiting the game or messing up other people's games, for example, there is a lag-based exploit for the Spy called facestabbing which occurs when the Spy (or the other player) lags, and the Spy stabs, the server thinks that the two players are standing inside each other, the knife is registered as hitting the "back" of the player, and the Spy gets an instant kill backstab. It's nothing to do with crappy players vs good ones, in fact, the game is designed so that they can play together in the form of Critical Hits - there's a 2% base chance (or 10% with a melee weapon) that each shot you fire/each second you fire (for a rapid fire weapon) will be a Critical Hit, which does base damage. This is so that while skill wins most of the time, a bad player can kill a good one and still have fun sometimes. Oh, and the chance goes up with the amount of damage you did in the last 20 seconds, up to 800 damage, which increases the chance for a crit dramatically. So if you've been rampaging, get out those melee weapons and crit like mad. ;D

If you want to get better at the game, I suggest a server named Chocolate Hammer. I hang out there almost exclusively, and it's really good for newbies and skilled players alike. We have some really really good regulars (the name "drolkcal" comes to mind), but we also have some not great ones, and we are just all there to have a good time.

Thanks a lot Doggy, you've taught me more about TF2 today then i have learned since i first played it. I can now tell my friend (Who owns the game) about Face stab and Ping. I'll try to remember Chocolate Hammer and look out for it. If you see a JamieKing2010 enter, that'll be me or my friend. If the players playing well, its usually me because i play more then he does nowadays.

You all should give this game a try. It's definitely a lot of fun after you start getting lots of the weapons so you can modify your loadout to suit your playing style. On the other hand, I do feel like I should warn you that the game's update schedule is extremely erratic (read: slow, about once every month and a half). and the Halloween event going on right now is driving people crazy haha.

I want to rebuy the orange box now. I didnt sell it i gave it to some one. I didnt have live at the time so i couldnt play it. But now i miss hl 2 and portals. Tf2 is also fun.
