Annoyances With Your Computer

Do any aspects of your PC/Laptop annoy you?

My computer simply doesn't have the pound sign. Where the pound sign is on my keyboard, i get this... # Where # is on my keyboard i get this... | I hate having to say pound or quid but i can't be bothered to look for a pound sign and then copy and paste it every time i bring up money. FIXED!!

The following seems more like an issue, then an annoying factor about my PC. Basically i put lots of programs on which caused it to start up slower and run slower. So recently i removed a load of programs but that made it even slower at times

One stupid think i have to do is shut the computer down if i want to change the mouse or keyboard. If they get unplugged, when i put them back in they don't work...

But aside from all this, i gotta say i love my computer. Without it I'd be lost and bored most of the time. Long live computers!

I believe everyone is familiar with my computer's story.

Can't say I like computers.
My eyes, head and back hurts if I spend too long in front of the screen.

They're also one of the (if not the) top-ranked things that's made humans lazy, and thus causes obesity, then they accuse television and video games for it.
Yes, even though they too provide to the laziness, they're not even close to what computers cause.


That's not to say I like to spend time by the computer.
I like having images, videos and music all in the same "box" for easy access.

I also like to make and print various video game notes.

if u got an english computer ( or if its set up for an english user not british )
there is a british setting on a keyboard layout somewhere in ur control panal
my cousin completely modified his computer from the Qwerty layout to the DVORAK layout and any computer HAs the pound symbol on it just not accessible with ur current keyboard layout i assume

i don't know why ur computer has to be shut down for a new mouse and etc...
try pluggin a usb or external hardrive in it a few times
might help idk

I Googled my question..

All i had to do was go to Regional and Language Options in the Control Panel and change it to English UK rather then English US.

the fact that my computer cant dominate more of the bandwidth in my house. i keep lagging out of all my SC2 games

The battery life on my laptop is rubbish it only has 2 hours of life and it doesn't notify me when the battery is low but apart from that no problems yet

How about Google searching how to fix a "Stop c000021a [Fatal System Error]" message.

Thats what i get now on my other computer after trying to boot an empty Hard Drive and make it live again, with Windows Professional. The install disk my friend gave me caused it to mess up or something. The stupid issue is, to fix it i have to be able to actually start the computer. But the error message pops up before it boots up so i'm screwed. Apparently a disk on Ebay claims to be able to fix almost ANY PC problem. It only costs £1.99 so i will buy it on Friday. If it fails i wont have lost much but that will be the last stand for that PC. It's next step will be hitting the floor at high speed and then into a shoot.

Judging by what you said in another topic about your computer costing $900 (Assuming that is the computer your using) You better hope its the net o.O' If it's the computer effecting your speed then you've been ripped off. I get great quality internet from a USB stick and my computer is basic compared to yours. But yeah, it's most likely your broad band connection. Or the router itself might just be old.

I used to hit my PC when i got mad at it. But i may have contributed to its breakage before. So now when i get angry i hit my desk. BUt today when i did that my monitor turned off. I was like O.O' When i checked i'd just knocked the power cable out of the back xD For a second i crapped myself.

A new annoyance has emerged. Upon start up my computer for some weird reason has monitor issues and loading issues. Sometimes it wont start and the monitor will go on and off over and over. It's nothing now but i know the time draws near where i'll turn it on and it'll just fail.

well for me, since our version of Windows 7 is <_< >_> "not genuine", then somehow the Windows people find out and turn the whole background black, with the words: "this version of Windows is not genuine"... quite annoying...

I assume thats down to the internet that they can find out. You can still use the computer right? Get fake signatures

Yeah everything is working fine, so all they did was prevent me from having a desktop picture, which isn't much of an incentive to buy the legit version ;P

Oh i have a new annoyance with my computer its gone as in taken from me but i have a new one now but its not the same it takes for ever to start up
