Just a quick random question...
If you were some sort of game character, how much of the following would you have?
I wasn't going to put a limit on, but for the sake of it lets just say your max HP is 9999, your max defense is 255 and your max offense is 255. That way we can limit ourselves so if you think your super strong you can have 255 offense rather then just a massive number.
My Stats:
HP: 3500 Defense: 150 Offense: 100
I'm nothing special. My stats are still on the rise =]

1: Capoeira is less an actual fighting style than it is a dance. That whole "combat art disguised as a dance" thing is really nifty, but there's a reason why it's mostly confined to performances now; all of the spinning and flipping has made it incredibly impractical for actual hand-to-hand combat.
2: I once took on 30 guys because they wanted to give me cake, 20 bruised nuts and broken jaws later I got to eat delicious cake. That was the best birthday ever.
More seriously.
HP: 4000 (A good broad body--muscle and lard combine to make oneself hardy. Working as a stockroom worker for a furniture store for some time demands a hardy form) Defense: 150 (See above. Fairly redundant. Wouldn't this be better represented as, say, speed or charisma?) Offense: 150 (I can't claim to be a master of martial arts, but I do have some knowledge in boxing, systema, and judo. I've been looking for some dojos around so I can properly learn things, instead of studying from manuals and videos--while it's convenient, it's also far too easy to mess things up)

capoeira is just fancy stuff
BUT it requires the utilization of ur muscles in a coordinated manner meaning i know how to throw a punch efficiently and effectively i do some boxing (if u mean 3129 level on Wii boxing <-- cousins house then yes some boxing) ADHD might have something to do with the endurance i seriously never get tired (or used to ) i am currently trying to break the record of most days without sleep(11 i think) and i got 7 days crashed HORRIBLY on the 8th day but u can train to do it and also i am not affraid to take a hit and i also have played soccer with a foot that was ran over by a van (the shoe mostly prevented any seriously serious damage) i have a high pain tolerance i like grappling too and i am fast and dodgey
i will flail when all hope seems lost too (and i mean SEIZURE flail no mercy ur face is gonna get smacked)

I don't think "utilization of your muscles in a coordinated manner" in a dance which emphasis legwork and lower body strength would have any sort of correlation to punching ability. Maybe your kicks and flexibility, but dancework like that needs a slim and toned upper body in order to easily cut through the wind and keep your center of gravity low. If you want to specialize, I would highly suggest focusing on a foot-based martial art, like silat or kalarippayattu.
You can die from sleep deprivation after six days due to your body shutting down from overwork--sleep lets it rest, without sleep you are constantly on overclock. This is why, after the third day without sleep, you start to hallucinate vividly. Even the military, which trains people to operate on as minimal sleep as possible, teaches people to take frequent two-hour "power naps". The world record (for some reason they give awards for this kind of suicidal behavior) is eleven days, and the poor man had to be taken to the urgent care room right after.

actually, taekwondo is a foot-based martial arts, but it'll only do you good if you practice in those serious places, cause if all you're doing is forms, then you're screwed. a good, realistic martial art would be jujitsu or kickboxing. some of the scenarios in those sports are some of the ones that you see most often. for all i know, taekwondoe has the fastest kicks of any other martial arts, because it's all legs. but to be a really good fighter, just knowing moves won't teach you anything. you have to be able to apply them in combat, while things are going haywire around you, you're probably really tired, if not knocked out, and it comes down to how much spirit you have.
not exactly sure what my stats would be, because i'm not sure what the scale would be. is the 9999 hp like a super human or something? is the 255 like a tank? should I just shut up and try my best to think of something? perhaps....
HP: 2000 Off: 200? Def: 200:
iunno, i've taken TKD for 5 years

Coolfreez, HP just means you think you can take a lot of damage. Defence means you wont get hurt easily and offence is how much you can get back at people Sorry Termy, the cake is a lie ;D

HP: 3000 Offense: 40 Defense: 100 I have decent endurance, not very good at attacking people, but I think I can defend myself okay if I have to.

Hp:2,000? Less than the average. Defense:22, I take hits badly. Attack:69, I practice judo, a slight bit of aikido, I have even less practice with swords than with aikido but I still have some, I have access to a lot of weapons and an endless pool of FURY! My policy, if you threaten the life or well being of those who don't deserve such loss around me, and if I see I can do something, than I throw away all rules and mercy... I will not hold back if I can. Even so, I am very weak.
Add me to your party if you don't have anything else. If I don't have battle stats, I have brain stats and work stats! I'll build our base with my best diligence! Not that I can build a base by myself.
