Well, I just checked. This is not a single Gotcha Force-related image that can even come close to expressing the sheer amount of rage I feel toward this girl.
I realize that this is an "appreciation" thread, but Mana is by far the most annoying, evil, and downright sadistic character in this entire game. She makes Galactic Emperor look like a poorly-voiced 8-year-old.
...I mean the Japanese Galactic Emperor. Shut up. ._.
Anyway, I recently started playing Gotcha Force again and of course used Mana as my partner through most of it so I could get a few breaks on HP as I cleaned the rust off my skills. This was probably the worst decision I've ever made in this game.
In the past few days, Mana has done nothing but get in the way and prove to be a greater threat than the Death Force itself. When she uses wizard borgs, she's just useless. When she uses Pop Honey, it's as if she's aiming for me and not the enemy. I can't even count the number of times this has completely screwed over a match that was about to end in one or two attacks by making my borgs spin around so I can't aim. And when Mana uses nurses? She chases me around constantly, healing every TINY bit of HP that I lost from a stray bullet or two. When I'm about to land the finishing blow on a dragon? The horrible girl traps me in a healing animation so that the dragon can get an instant kill with its breath-beam afterwards. I'm fighting a horde of powerful enemies who are about to die? Oh hey, she goes ahead and heals them too so they can combo me to death. My Jelly Diver is finally about to die from being matched up against bad enemies, letting me bring out Sirius to even the odds a little? THIS is the only time she decides to heal me properly! When I don't want her to. Of course.
And you know what the most annoying thing is? When the last enemy has a tiny sliver of HP left and I'm rushing in to attack...only to have one of her bullets hit mere seconds before I make contact. The game pans away from my borg to zooms in on hers, which is always standing there smiling instead of doing something useful; as if she actually contributed anything to the match! It's infuriating!
And after the mission? Mana just smiles and cheerfully says some generic line, pretending blissfully unaware of the pain and humiliation she has caused me! In fact, I bet she's laughing at it inside!
In closing, Mana is EVIL! Pure, unfiltered evil focused into the body of a little girl with a really annoying and barely understandable voice! She is the kind of horrible person whom I would seek out and punch in the face were she not a fictional character in an under-rated videogame!

I'm just going to use Met from now on. Atleast dangling from ropes is fun.

 I fully agree that once Mana decides to go non-nurse, she's a high contender to the "least helpful partner" list. As long as she's nursing though, she's great. |

I love having Mana as partner when you use a Borg you're not too confident with.
Makes for extra combat training.
