Some of you may know about the rumors comming from game developers about Nintendo having a new 'DS2' in the works.
Latest rumors say it will be as powerful as a Gamecube, now if thats the case who would want to see a sequel, re-make or even just a port of the original.
We know how easy it is to battle and trade on games like Pokemon for the DS, I think Gotcha force would work well!

In terms of power: Gameboy = NES GBA = SNES DS = N64 Next installment = Gamecube. Et cetera. Also: Double also: Let it go on record that I said this two days after getting my DS (which was so close to launch day). The DS 2 needs to play GC games.

Developers and even gamefreak are said to already have the development DS2s to start making games. It would be interesting if this new 'DS2' can play Gamecube ports, A portable wifi Gotcha Force would be like a dream come true!

XD If i had seen this earlier, i'd have said so. I saw this on ONM like 3 years ago. At first i thought OMG a portable Gamecube! Then i saw some real ones and they look very very different. People just welded a screen to the lid of a GC, cut a control in half and welded it to the sides of a GC, then they connected it up and it still needed plugs to work. Plus there was the weight of it.

What I was on about is the rumors of the new DS2 that devs say they have. I think If it can push gamecube style games then a port or re-make of Gotcha force would be a great game to have portable.

lol i am making my N64 portable and using 2 old laptop batteries (maybe one they are heavy) i can turn my gamecube portable as well and 2 the photo is a lie (and the cake another story tho) its impossible to build the power of a gamecube into that size (i don't mean impossible i mean like efficiently and theres cost ) and a battery that strong wouldn't last that long , think about a CD player on Spartan (yes the halo kind ) steroids ( the spartans needed nuclear power sources that + cdplayer = DIE CD SCRATCHES!!!!) i actually know what i am talking about i mess with this kind of stuff all the time now i did say i am making one NO WHERE NEAR That size no where near in a laptop battery is that size and the motherboard for a gamecube would fit in the bottom half alone maybe if ur lucky (and u use a single mobo) u can fit the controler mobo inthere too but yeh and mine will have extra controller ports and the screen plugouts too and a plug into a wall , so it will still have all the same things as a normal gamecube just its also portable and NO before u ask i will not make u one (not until after i make about 13 and i get my new Vaccuum soldering iron) i am not criticizing it it would be cool just uhmm that pic lies this pic is a little more accurate (CUS ITS A WORKING ONE!!!) AND HERES A LINK it has a video and other info www.walyou.com/blog/2009/11/10/portable-gamecube-mod/

Most likely it won't, but it would be pretty sweet if GF was ported to the DS2. I would buy one just for that.

I can't stand handhelds.
Are people spending the majority of their time on the beach or up in the mountains?
Seriously, that's the only reason to have a handheld console.
If you're at home (or in any house) you'll have access to an electrical socket, that in turn means you'll have a 99.99% chance of having a TV, which further means you can just play games the way they should be played; via a TV.

i feel ignored did anybody actually look at my post? and there woudl be so many flaws with that and i can't think of how many good games would apply to that maybe another brain age or sumthing but i really don't get it cus i like playing games upside down and if its screen's position stays how it was turned on ...theres some problems there etc...

That, is just stupid... They've made more then enough DS's already It looks good but maybe they could have done it on a totally new console.

^No, that's not a video of the 3DS, that's a video of a game on DS.
Its the successor to the entire DS franchise, so it should be very different, but it will have backwards compatibility for DS/DSi games.

actually, that game that they're demonstrating was on the DSi right? i thought they said that they made use of the camera to see where your face was and adjust the picture on the screen, so the DS would be out of the picture, right?

Uhhh i still don't think they should make another, unless it can play GBA Games like DS & DS Lite. I know GBA games are ancient but there are still people out there that play them. And if people don't, maybe they could make other 3DS's without that capability but for a lower price, or people can just not use the 3DS for GBA games. I'm just too retro these days, even though about 2 years ago, i hater retro game lovers for some reason
