Just out of curiosity, who does Usagi tend to get paired with in the fandom? I'm thinking of writing a KakeruXUsagi fic, and don't want to get flamed to a crisp...  |

Generally Kou [but not me  ]and in some rare cases Sho. I don't think you'd get burned for the Usagi side, but Kakeru/Mana is a highly supported pair... |

Kakeru/Mana is a highly supported pair... That's what I've been seeing, but honestly, I just don't like it. Bah, what do I care, I'm sticking to my guns and going with KakeruXUsagi. I'll let you all know when if I finish! |

no need to shoot him down? KakeruxUsagi is possible, however unlikely at this point. They're not ready at their age in Gotcha Force. People do, however, change so it is possibly possible.

Or, as I like to say to keep it simple, the video game characters have different affections based on whose imagination is bringing them to life. So I think we should just stick to our imagination instead of eating people. ;D[/cornywriterspeech]

Thauddie (hope you don't mind me using your nickname ), you took the words right out of my mouth. I'll admit my own imagination is pretty warped when it comes to pairings (Kakeru x Usagi, Kitsune x Mana, and Tetsuya x Orochi, for the record), but that's the fun of it. That being said, I'm not even gonna get around to writing it for a while. I've got a few other projects first, namely a Nekobe-focused one-shot and a Persona/Gotcha crossover. It's weird...I haven't written anything in years, and a quirky little Gamecube game completely revitalized my writer's spirit! Any of your works posted somewhere?  |

True I'm a solid Usagi+Kou supporter, but I can also be openminded for Usagi+Nekobe (since Nekobe is my favorite male character).
Usagi & Kou simply feels like they're made for each other.
No matter how you look at it, they are simply the perfect pair, just like Mana+Kakeru & Orochi+Sho.
Their personalities makes them a textbook example of a pair, so personally, I don't see any other pairing that could be any more perfect.

It honestly makes me a little sad reading that, since it seems that 98% of Gotcha fans [that actually think about GF Commanders in the first place] seem to think the same thing.  But I'm glad that I can at least understand it. |

See, it's funny because that's exactly why I think Kou X Usagi doesn't work, as well as the other agreed-upon pairs: they're too similar for my tastes. Kou (brave action boy) and Usagi (determined action girl) Kakeru (polite, good natured boy) and Mana (polite, kind-hearted girl) Sho (bitter angry rival) and Orochi (bitter angry commander) They're all just too similar for my tastes. Contrast is what makes it interesting, you know? But hey, that's just me. Tama X Ice Cream forever. |
