Youtube was like the first place on the web that i looked on for Gotcha. But has anyone noticed how it's now just being flushed full of entire play throughs. Now i like watching videos of Gotcha, but not someone just playing it. If i wanted that i could just invite my friend Reiss around. Anyone else not slightly angry about this?
(At the moment its Vidfreak727 thats making many videos and crushing the rest)

Had I ever gotten some b***** recording equipment, I would've been known as the Gotcha Video King, but unless I can somehow win the lottery (which I never play), I'll never be able to.

Not really.
Means more people are exposing it, more people are playing it, and more people are getting to see what it's like playing it. It's not like we're the only people who should watch Gotcha vids, I'm sure there's plenty of people who just need to see a playthrough before they buy it.
As long as YouTube isn't taking them down for a ToS violation, I'm coo'.

"Gotcha Force Gold Borgs" "Gotcha Force 5 VS 30 (5 Win!)" Or 3 videos called "Gotcha Force part 31" "Gotcha Force part 24" "Gotcha Force part 4" ? Thats whats happening now, all people are likely to find are random parts of a play through. Not my cup of tea man

I'm likely to watch either.
If I want to watch a specific video of Gotcha Force, I would likely put in more specific search terms and then see how many matches there are. If there aren't any, oh well. If I just put in "Gotcha Force" by itself, I am going to get a lot of different videos, which I will likely watch just to see how different people have different styles.
Either way, I'm just glad that this gem of a game is getting more exposure. Getting angry about the quantity of other peoples' videos, when there's a hundred more subjects with far more videos and far more Let's Plays, strikes me as fairly silly. Saying that it's "killing" Gotcha Force strikes me as needlessly overdramatic.

If you think all these videos are making the game more known, look at the views on them. Most of them have between 0-10 views and some have been up for months. Where did all the watchers go because they used to be about?

i agree. the videos are getting really redundant. if this keeps going on, then people will take one look at it, and say if you've seen one you've seen them all. not very much popularity there. and if it's just a playthrough, any idiot knows how to play the game. the only reason why the game got bad reviews because it's controls were too simple. so if anyone wants to spread popularity, you need videos on how to stomp on the next guy that plays versus with you, or combo videos (although those have been up for quite some time). so yeah, if you have a thousand videos with playthroughs, or five of versus matches that really show good players, obviously you'd watch the versus mode videos. heck, if you want to do a playthrough, give yourself a samurai shogun and win, okay? it's not that hard. 20th force glitch it and win, okay? if people see other people getting competitive, then they would think the same thing.
of course, that's just how I see it...

It's at times like these, that I truly wish I knew (someone) how to draw/animate, because I have lots of various Gotcha related ideas I know could bring a little more light upon the sacred name Gotcha Force.

Thought I typed this up yesterday, but I must have gotten sidetracked while doing it. ;D It seems that only recently have people been making playthroughs of Gotcha. The first I'd ever seen came out a little less than a year ago by CDub and after that I've seen at least 3 others on Youtube. Even Nico Nico has a bunch of playthrough vids. I'm not against Gotcha vids, but I've always found playthroughs boring since I'd rather play the actual game rather than watch some one play it.

They don't have much watching value. They are just video upon video of the same thing (Maybe if just the toughest battles were filmed or something, that would be better)

'lo, to be the sole voice of reason among a sea of insanity! Well, I'm kidding of course.
I'm quite sure the watchers are still around, just watching different things. You can't exactly track every single viewer's habits or what video they're currently watching. If you don't want to see a playthrough, that's perfectly fine. Don't watch a playthrough. If you don't want to see someone using a high-tier borg to victory, the don't watch it. Please don't get upset because it's not the type of video you want to watch--your tastes are not the only one existing on the web. Again, there's a hundred more games with far more videos and far more Let's Plays than Gotcha Force, and to try and purge the unworthy in order to let the shining beacon of your vision shine through for the sanctity of the glory behest upon us all is a silly concept.
If you want to see different videos, why not make them yourself? Aaaah. Like Admin said, he can't draw/animate. It's quite possible that plenty of other people aren't able to as well--the only way they can express dedication and devotion are playthroughs. Which every video so far is, at its core, it just really depends on the different types of borgs and matchups. It may be video upon video of the same thing, but do you know what Gotcha Force is? Dare I speak the blasphemy? It's just the same thing over and over, one battle after the other.

^ What you say is true. But humans are different. Whereas you or me might see a page of Videos and go to the next page, another person might be a little lazy and think the videos are all the same so they wont even see the others.
Hahaha your funny! XD Of course i know they are watching other stuff lol What i mean is, i've noticed how the average views on videos has just plummeted over time. These days i'll get about 50 views in a whole month after making a video, but had i made it a month ago, it would probably be at double that. it seems the Gotcha Fans on Youtube have moved on.
