Statistically, I think gold is easier to get than shadow.   The only reason you haven't gotten that ICBM yet is because you haven't been getting the B crystal. You've been finding them more often than shadow and you've gotten more crystals for them than shadow, I'm guessing. You've just always been getting A crystals for the gold one. Meaning, statistically, gold is easier to get than shadow because they're more common. |

Yes, finding a gold ICBM is statistically easier, so in that aspect you're right, but actually getting one is a whole other matter in itself. Gold ICBMs rarely, and I mean r-a-r-e-l-y, drop data crystals and every once in a blue moon they do, it's always the same one.  Shadow on the other hand, while more rare in appearances, always drops a crystal, as far as I've noticed, and I've already gotten two of them.  |

I now have so many Rare Borgs, I've lost count! I know that since posting what I have obtained on here, I have obtained around 10 more. But it's hard to remember them these days I've not played Gotcha in about 2 months actually  Maybe more.. |

Got a golden Hammer Robot crystal today, and it's the 1st gold crystal I've gotten on this file.
Still nothing in the shadow department.

Admin, I'm calling shenanigans on that.
Every Gold opponent I've had so far (3) has dropped a crystal/itself. Of all the Shadow opponents I've seen (3) I have gotten two crystals. Mind you, one of them is a Cyber Ninja, so that point is forever moot.

^ I was talking solely about the ICBMs All I have left to say on this matter is that 99% of the time when I kill a silver or crystal ICBM I get part of it, but when they fly into my Sirius that I used for ICBM hunting for a bit I don't get anything for it. So if they've been hitting your Sirius, then that might be part of why you rarely get a crystal for them. |

Well, my Sirius is rarely the one fighting when those blasted goldies appears but you are actually right in the sense that ICBMs drops crystals less if they blow themselves up. The best way to improve your odds of killing it would be to be able to kill as many of them as you can.[/obviousstatement] I've had pretty good kill counts with Flame Dragons and Plasma Dragons, myself, and ICBMs seem pretty effective for killing specific enemy ICBMs; just fly around until a gold one shows up, then crash nearby it so you blow it up. A Blizzard Dragon would probably work about as well as the other dragons. Death Borg Sigma II's probably not good enough to rely on, but actually isn't too bad. Of course, you've undoubtedly thought of all these ideas and more already, but... yeah. |

For Gatlings, I dunno if every rare has dropped a crystal or not. Why? I use a Plasma dragon for that mission, and cannot make out whether what I'm fighting is rare or not from the top of the stage.  |

I decided to play some gotcha. Ran into a crystal (claw Robot?) it was in a Kitsune mission, so I'm not sure. and I wasn't paying attantion to the GF Energy. either way, I didn't get it.  |
