I would think that this is more effective than say the online petition because here Capcom is open for suggestions, whereas in the petition, GF fans are trying to force it on Capcom.

No, it doesn't.
Though this has as much chance of netting us a sequel as Toei making the next Kamen Rider to fit US specifications, it'd still be good to let Capcom know that there's demand and interest. Where it goes from there, who knows? Maybe somewhere cool.
It only takes a couple minutes, nothing is lost via it, and it shows you care.
If it's pointless, what's the harm in voting?
If it turns out there's a secret point to it all and they were trying to see what cult classics to revive next, then I'm a monkey's uncle. Also, it'd be awesome.
