perhaps i wasn't reading the topic correctly.... i was going to say something like a sonic samurai that was ninja-like, but if we're doing real borgs, then i'd say cyber ninja!

That depends, is your partner AI controlled? Or is there a person at the controller in a multiplayer match? If there is a person there, Proto Red. There is no better borg than Proto Red. Period. Unless you are tag teaming a combined machine borg team (like I do ;D) then Machine Red. If they are AI controlled the I would say... what match? Generally someone like Beam Gunner. Why? Hmm... that's a pretty hard one. If I had to choose one, it would come down to a hard decision between Cyber Ninja, Omicron, and Death Saucer.
Cyber Ninja's been my go-to borg ever since I got him. He's fast, does great damage, and has freakin' spinny laser shuriken o' doom. He doesn't cost too much, so no matter what team I have or what I'm wanting my team to do (even support), I always throw him in somewhere. (Usually at the very end, so they learn why the phrase "best for last" is my theory for making a force.)
Omicron's just a fun borg to play. "Charge, change, charge, whack, repeat" may not be much of a mantra, but for Omicron, that's all he really needs. I see your almost fully charged Samurai Shogun and raise you changing him into a death eye. Honestly, when I play vs. a CPU, I usually start with him and have to wait until a fortress or barrier girl shows up for him to die. He may not be strong, but he's epic on so many different levels.
And Death Saucer needs no introduction. It's the big, flying frisbee of death. While apparently not as popular on this forum as Sirius and Antares, DS is, in my opinion, the best of the fortress borgs.
When it comes down to the wire, however, I'd probably have to choose Cyber Ninja, mostly for the freakin' spinny laser shuriken o' doom.

Long out of my silly and whimsical days of high-school Gotcha Forcing, I still cannot help but regard Battle Girl as my eternal partner Borg.
Though, for characterization purposes, I could see myself being paired up with a Sword Knight, or possibly a Guard/Shield Witch.

I think i'll change my mind and go with BARRIER GIRL, but only because Normal Ninja's already been taken. darn you sasuke and your terrible yet fun moveset...
maybe i'd also like Acceeration Ninja.
also cyber ninja's too OP. do not like.
